When someone is rude, give them a wide smile. That is better than distancing yourself. Try not taking it personally.
Rude, critical, and argumentative people usually have some sort of issue. They may not even realize how they sound to others. Professional counseling can help if the person is willing to listen. The problem is they may not be willing. I keep my distance from people like this that are just too confrontational. It’s a no win! ~ Suzy Cusumano
